July is the lotus season. How are the lotuses this year? I went out to a nearby lotus pond.
The lotus pond, which used to bloom beautifully every year, had only a few flowers.
The leaves were generally small, low and poor, probably due to the hot temperature this summer.
I took my sketchbook with me, but I am not in the mood and I only took a few photos.

７月に入り蓮の季節となりました。さてさて今年の蓮はいかがでしょうか。近くの蓮池に出かけて参りました。
暑さのせいでしょうか毎年見事に花を咲かせていた蓮池の蓮はほんの少ししか花はなく
また葉も全体的に小さく低く貧弱でした。
張り切ってスケッチブックも持っていったのですが心が躍らず写真だけ少し撮って帰ってきました。

チョウトンボ　蛹の上にも多分ミズカマキリがいます。

Is it a baby bush warbler? It was looking for food well on its own.
鶯の雛かな？一人でしっかりごはんを探していましたよ。
