I also sketch in pencil to be aware of the shadows.
I have made several bellflower marquetries and inlays in the past.
They may look different in how I feel and I may make some discoveries.
So when I have a chance, I look at it carefully and put it into the picture.

影を意識できるように鉛筆画でも写生をします。
桔梗は過去にもいくつか作った事があるのですが
その時の自分の気持ちで違うようにも見えたり発見もありますので
向き合うチャンスがある時にはじっくりと見て画面に落とし込みます。
